Amaravati: May 3: Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has raised objections to the political favouritism of the Chief Secretary towards the YSRCP in the pension payment issue. In a letter to the Chief Secretary on Friday, Chandrababu Naidu asked the Chief Secretary how the decision has been taken to deposit the pension amount into the bank accounts of pension holders instead of door delivery.

He said the Chief Secretary favoured the ruling YSR Congress party instead of the public. The Election Commission of India ordered the State government to pay the pension at doorsteps by making alternative arrangements in the place of volunteers.

He lamented that the officials distributed the pensions at the secretariat last month as a result 32 old people died due to hot weather conditions. The old age people were doing rounds around the banks at present facing severe hardships, he pointed out. Even though there is a possibility of pension door delivery by utilising the services of employees, the Chief Secretary did not decide in this regard, he said.

Former Chief Minister made serious allegations against the Chief Secretary as he also colluded with ruling YSR Congress party to take part in the conspiracy against the Telugu Desam party.

He criticised the Chief Secretary for involving in the political game of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy by creating trouble for 64 lakh pension holders. Now the pension holders are doing rounds around the banks across the State, he said. Chandrababu Naidu said that the Chief Secretary is wholly responsible for the situation.
