Four Mumbai players from the T20 World Cup cricket team will be honored at the Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan complex on Friday. The players, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, were part of India’s T20 World Cup squad. India secured its second T20 world title on June 29, ending an 11-year wait for an ICC trophy. The previous ICC title was in 2013 when India won the Champions Trophy under Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik raised the issue in the assembly of felicitating Mumbai players in the Vidhan Bhavan earlier. Speaker Narwekar confirmed that the players will be felicitated in the Vidhan Bhavan on Friday afternoon. The T20 World Cup-winning Indian team returned to New Delhi from Barbados on Thursday morning and received a joyous welcome.
