Icon Star Allu Arjun and creative director Sukumar’s film Pushpa-2: The Rule has been a blockbuster since its release, achieving extraordinary box-office success. Within just six days of its release, the film surpassed the ₹1,000 crore milestone, becoming the fastest Indian movie to reach this landmark. Bollywood audiences have embraced the film, contributing significantly to its record-breaking collections.
Several film industry personalities have already praised Pushpa-2. Recently, veteran Bollywood actor Mukesh Khanna shared his thoughts after watching the movie, describing it as “extraordinary.” He lauded the film's execution, emphasizing that every rupee spent was visible on screen. Khanna expressed his views through a special video on his YouTube channel.
“This film was crafted with the right planning and vision. Every penny invested is evident on screen. Pushpa-2 proves that when filmmakers trust larger-than-life cinema, audiences overlook logical flaws. Although I haven't watched many of Allu Arjun’s previous films, after seeing this movie, I now want to explore his earlier works. His performance was so impressive that I believe only he could do justice to the character of Shaktimaan," Khanna remarked.
Khanna also stressed that Bollywood filmmakers have much to learn from South Indian cinema. He highlighted how Pushpa-2 portrayed husband-wife dynamics in a respectable manner, unlike Bollywood, where such scenes are often exaggerated with unnecessary vulgarity. He criticized the industry’s reliance on explicit content for revenue, questioning its artistic integrity.
