Minister for Human Resource Development and Information Technology, Nara Lokesh said that State government has launched “Mission Rayalaseema,” aimed at developing the Rayalaseema region and creating local job opportunities. Lokesh inaugurated a Kidney Dialysis Center at Bangurapalayam on Friday. Following the inauguration, Lokesh inspected the center, engaged with patients, and opened a 30-bed hospital along with a Blood Donation Camp on the premises.
He also participated in planting saplings within the hospital grounds. During a subsequent ‘Praja Darbar,’ Lokesh outlined plans to establish schools and universities to enhance educational opportunities for children in the area. He confirmed that the government would soon provide subsidized drip irrigation equipment to farmers. Emphasizing accountability, Lokesh reiterated that all promises made during the Yuvagalam Padayatra have been fulfilled and vowed to work towards the comprehensive development of Chittoor district while addressing its financial burdens.
The minister also challenged former TTD chairman YV Subbareddy, questioning his commitment to the quality of the Tirupati Laddu amid allegations of animal fat being used in its preparation. Lokesh expressed his outrage over reports of adulterated ghee, condemning the politicization of religious offerings and asserting that such actions have compromised the temple’s integrity.
Additionally, he announced an increase in social pensions to Rs. 4,000 and noted that the state is actively attracting investments and industries. He confirmed the repeal of the Land Titling Act, reinforcing the government’s commitment to progressive reforms in the region.
