Minister Nara Lokesh : We will provide jobs to 20 lakh people in five years:

Minister Nara Lokesh said that we are working together with Confederation of Indian Industries for the development of AP state. He said that there are opportunities for food processing units in the state. He said that AP has now focused on speed of doing business. It has been revealed that the government will cooperate in setting up units and permits quickly. Lokesh participated in CII meeting in Vijayawada. Later he spoke to the media. “We will provide jobs to 20 lakh people in five years. We will set up the Economic Development Board within a month. We come to you for investments. Skilled human resources are also ready in AP,” said Lokesh.

Eco system for setting up industries: Minister Nara Lokesh said that there should be a permanent eco system for the establishment of industries, only then there will be a chance of sustainable investment. He said that Gnome Valley and IT Corridors in Hyderabad have been established in the past and they have nothing to do with politics and governments. Industries like Kia established in AP are also like that. He criticized that cancellation of non- conventional electricity PPAs during the previous government had an impact not only on AP but also on the whole of India. He said that his government is trying hard to ensure that there are no obstacles to investments. Minister Lokesh revealed that micro and small and medium scale industries will be encouraged. Suchitra Yella, MD, Bharat Biotech suggested that the issue of setting up an Agri Biotech cluster in AP should be considered. Responding positively to this, Minister Lokesh said that he will try to establish it in Anantapur.
