Actor Matthew Lewis, who portrayed Neville Longbottom in all eight “Harry Potter” films, has stated that he doesn’t have any plans to be a part of the upcoming Max series reboot of the franchise. However, the 34-year-old actor mentioned that it would be “interesting” to witness the evolution of his character as an adult. While he’s not actively seeking this opportunity, he expressed openness to the idea, saying, “I’d be very interested to see if it was Neville as an adult — a whole different vibe. That could be interesting. I would certainly look at that and consider it,” Lewis told People magazine.
As an actor, Lewis explained that he always seeks new challenges, saying, “The reason I got into this job in the first place was because I have a very short attention span.” He jokingly added, “I’ve had many, many hobbies and passions over the years. Not a single one I still do. I fall madly in love with things and then almost immediately forget about them.”
Regarding Warner Bros’ plan for a “Harry Potter” TV series on Max, set for a potential 2026 premiere, the casting details are yet to be disclosed.
