Major encounter in Narayanapur- Chhattisgarh border, 36 Maoists killed 

A significant clash occurred in the forests of Chhattisgarh, resulting in the deaths of 36 Maoists. Another major encounter took place in the forests of Chhattisgarh, creating a commotion in the Narayanpur-Dantewada border forest area of the Bastar range on Friday. Chhattisgarh Police reported that 36 Maoists were killed in the exchange of fire between the Maoists and the police.

The police had received specific information about the presence of Maoists in the border forest area of Dantewada and Narayanpur districts of Chhattisgarh. The Maoists attacked the security forces who were carrying out a special operation, leading to an exchange of fire between the security forces and the Maoists. Both sides engaged in a fierce battle, exchanging gunfire. According to the police, 36 Maoists were killed in the exchange of fire, and their bodies were found at the scene.

A significant amount of automatic weapons and explosives, including AK-47 rifles, were recovered from the deceased. The security forces mentioned that the death toll might increase as the encounter continues. The police stated that more than 170 Maoists have been killed in the Bastar region this year.

Additionally, on September 3, a significant encounter occurred in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. Upon receiving information about the presence of Maoists on the borders of Bijapur and Dantewada districts, the police conducted a search operation. It was reported that the Maoists opened fire on the security forces, prompting the police to retaliate. In this encounter, 9 Maoists were killed, according to official sources.

It was revealed that a significant amount of explosives were recovered from the incident site. The police claimed to have recovered 12 guns and 303 self-loading rifles.
