Lokesh initiates “Prajadarbar” to address constituency issues

The Capital News

Guntur: June 15: Minister for Human Resources Development, IT, and Electronics  and Communication, Nara Lokesh, has launched a new initiative called “Prajadarbar” to directly understand and address the problems faced by the people of his constituency. Lokesh, who committed to opening the doors of his residence to the people of Mangalagiri, organised the first “Prajadarbar” to engage with his constituents and learn about their issues firsthand. On Saturday, starting at 8 AM, Minister Lokesh met with local residents at his residence in Undavalli. During these meetings, he listened to their concerns and assured them of prompt action.

A special mechanism has been established to address and resolve the problems brought to his attention by the constituency’s residents. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders highlighted that during the 2019 elections, the opposition YSR Congress Party (YCP) had spread rumors that Lokesh would not be accessible to the people. Contrary to these claims, Lokesh has maintained a strong presence among the public and has been an advocate for the Mangalagiri constituency.

He has implemented 29 welfare programs using his own funds, thereby earning the trust and support of the local populace. TDP leaders pointed out that Lokesh, having won the election with the blessings of his constituency’s residents, has now decided to hold regular Praja Darbars to connect with more people. Lokesh will be available to meet with local residents every morning when he is in Undavalli, except when he is engaged in activities outside the area.

This initiative, seen as a pioneering step by Lokesh as a public leader, is expected to serve as a model for public representatives across the State. During today’s program, many residents of Mangalagiri brought various issues to Lokesh’s attention. He assured them of his commitment to resolving these issues as quickly as possible and instructed officials to prepare an action plan to address the problems immediately.
