Kangana Ranaut Stresses Work Ethic, Condemns Laziness in Push for India’s Development

Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut emphasized the importance of normalizing a strong work ethic and discouraging laziness, stating that India cannot afford to be idle as it is still striving to become a developed nation. She shared her views in an Instagram Story where she posted a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the staffers of the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) after starting his third term. In the video, Modi emphasized his commitment to work tirelessly to help India become a developed country by 2047, stating, “My every moment is for the country.”

Ranaut also mentioned that the concept of weekends is a product of “western brainwashing” and that the culture of waiting for weekends and complaining about Mondays through memes needs to stop. She added, “We need to normalize obsessive work culture and refrain from being bored and lazy. We’re not yet a developed nation, and we can’t afford to be complacent.” Ranaut, a prominent figure in Bollywood and a staunch supporter of Modi, secured her first political victory by being elected from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, defeating Vikramaditya Singh, the son of six-time chief minister Virbhadra Singh, and state Congress chief Pratibha Singh.
