It has been reported that Julia Butters, known for her roles in “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” and “The Fabelmans”, is in discussions to star in Disney’s upcoming sequel to “Freaky Friday”. The film will be directed by Nisha Ganatra, and it is expected that Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis will reprise their roles from the original 2003 movie. However, Disney has not officially confirmed the cast yet. The original “Freaky Friday” was directed by Mark Waters and followed the story of a mother and daughter whose souls switch bodies after visiting a Chinese restaurant. The 2003 film, which also starred Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, and Ryan Malgarini, was a box office success. Andrew Gunn, who produced the original movie, will be returning to back the sequel.
