Tadipatri: April 28: Chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scathing critique of TDP president Chandrababu Naidu’s political methods during an election campaign in Tadipatri, Ananthapuram district, on Sunday.

Jagan accused Naidu of relying on deceit and fraud, challenging the effectiveness of TDP’s policies and highlighting instances of alleged deception, particularly regarding farmer loan waivers.

In contrast, Jagan emphasized the achievements of the YSRCP government, underlining its commitment to transparent and inclusive governance. He stated that the YSRCP had treated its manifesto as sacrosanct, akin to the Bhagavad Gita, Quran, and Bible, and successfully implemented 99 percent of its promises.

Jagan pointed out significant financial contributions made by the YSRCP government, including the direct transfer of Rs. 2.70 lakh crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which eliminated bribery and discrimination based on political affiliations. He contrasted this with the TDP’s track record of providing only 34,000 government jobs between 2014-19, whereas the YSRCP created 2.31 lakh government jobs in the last 58 months, with 80 percent going to marginalized communities.

Jagan highlighted transformative changes in villages and towns, especially in education, where schools were revamped to ensure quality education, and English medium education was introduced as a fundamental right for children in Andhra Pradesh. He also praised the integration of degree colleges with top universities, the empowerment of women through reservation in nominated posts, and the construction of 31 lakh houses within five years.

In terms of political representation, Jagan reiterated the YSRCP’s commitment to inclusive governance by allocating 68 percent of ministerial posts and half of the assembly and Parliament seats to SC, ST, BC, and minorities.
