The State government has allotted the Irrigation Guest House in Vijayawada city for Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s residence purpose. It is located at the back side of the Governor’s bungalow Raj Bhawan. Originally it is constructed for Irrigation Minister’s residence-cum-camp office during the period of Devineni Umamaheswara Rao as irrigation minister.
Several heads of the Irrigation Department used to work from that building. However, the YSR Congress government had allotted the spacious two-storied building for Botcha Satyanarayana for the past five years. Now the State government has allotted the building for Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan. It shows how Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is giving importance to Pawan Kalyan.
