Ishan Kishan has been out of Team India since the start of 2024. He was dropped from the central contract list in February for skipping domestic cricket. Ishan could be in line to make his comeback to the T20I team for the Bangladesh series.
India will make their on-field return in the Test series against Bangladesh, starting September 19. After the Test series, the two teams will lock horns in three T20Is. The three T20Is will be played on October 6, 9 and 12. India will only have a three-day break after the T20I series and the players will assemble in Bengaluru for the first Test match against New Zealand, starting October 16.
Since there is not enough rest between the Test and T20I series, several players are likely to get rested for the white-ball series against Bangladesh. PTI has reported that Shubman Gill is set to be rested for the series.
The report also adds that there could be a possibility of Ishan Kishan making his India return for the T20I series. He could replace Rishabh Pant. The wicketkeeper-batsman is a regular in the Test team and could end up playing all 10 Test matches in the season.
