Former minister and Medchal MLA Chamkura Mallareddy recently made comments that he will not contest elections again. While there were rumors that he might switch parties, he denied them and clarified that he met Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Sivakumar at a private function in Bangalore two days ago, but there was no politics involved. Mallareddy said that Sivakumar is his friend, and there is no possibility of changing the party at this time. He further clarified that he will continue to be in BRS and his family members will not contest from other parties. Mallareddy also stated that he plans to retire from politics after serving the public for the next five years, and these are his last elections.
