Actor Richa Chadha believes that “Heeramandi”, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious period drama, has the potential to become India’s answer to “Narcos” and “Squid Game”. The series, set in a red-light district in Lahore, features actors like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Fardeen Khan. Netflix India VP Content Monika Shergill said that Bhansali had dreamt of making “Heeramandi” for the past 14 years and that he had found the perfect medium in the form of a series.
