The price of guar seed decreased by Rs 28 to Rs 5,495 per 10 quintals in futures trading on Monday due to a rise in supply from producing areas. On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for May delivery fell by Rs 28 or 0.51 percent to Rs 5,495 per 10 quintals, with an open interest of 48,215 lots. Market analysts attributed the decline in guar seed prices to the increasing supply from growing regions.
