Amaravati: May 28: The leaders of TDP and fans across the globe paid grand tributes to legendary actor, TDP founder president and former Chief Minister the late NT Rama Rao on his 101 birth anniversary. The leaders of TDP and family members of the late leader paid floral tributes to him at the NTR ghat in Hyderabad on Tuesday. NTR sons Nandamuri Balakrishna, Ramakrishna, daughter and former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari, Widow Lakshmi Parvathi, grandsons Junior NTR, Kalyan Ram and their fan followers paid tributes at NTR ghat.
Former Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu called upon the public and members of his party to take the oath to fulfill the aims of the late NT Rama Rao.
He said that NTR’s discipline, dedication, sincerity, and hard work made him a legendary leader. He recalled that NTR believed Prajale Devullu-Samajame Devalayam and finally NTR introduced several welfare schemes and reforms for the first time in the country.

He further praised NTR for implementing various development plans along with welfare schemes. NTR proved that a ruler means a public servant, he said. Chandrababu Naidu asked the public to follow in his footsteps and remember his services all the time.
Former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu said that NTR changed the entire political structure of the country. “NTR had begun a new era in movies and politics. He described him as a great reformist and he fought against undemocratic politics.
Film hero Balakrishna said the NTR changed the entire politics and because of him the downtrodden people could get positions in politics. NTR took several daring steps in the administration and now various governments were implementing the schemes of the late leader, Balakrishna said.
TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh said that the fulfillment of the aims of NTR is the agenda of TDP. He said that NTR was a great leader and always a mentor to him.
Several TDP leaders conducted a meeting at party offices at Atmakuru near Mangalagiri, and Hyderabad, and also paid floral tributes to him. NTR’s centenary celebrations committee conducted a meeting under the leadership of former MLC TD Janardhan at Jubilee Hills Club. The leaders of TDP garlanded the statues of NTR at his native village in Nimmakuru. Similarly, the rank and file of TDP conducted the NTR birth anniversary celebrations in various districts and Andhra and Telangana.
