Last year, industrial tycoon Ratan Tata received the Maharashtra Industrial Award for his outstanding contributions to the industry. Following his passing, the Maharashtra government has decided to rename the industrial award to the Ratan Tata Udyoga Ratna Award in his honor. Additionally, the Udyog Bhavan in Mumbai will be renamed as the Ratan Tata Udyog Bhavan. The government has also announced that Ratan Tata will be the first recipient of the renamed award, and it will continue to be presented under his name in the future.
