Vijayawada: June 19: The Andhra Pradesh General Administration Department (GAD) has issued a directive to the secretaries of former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s office, requesting the return of government-purchased furniture and equipment from the camp office.
The GAD’s letter specifies that all items, including furniture and other equipment, should be returned according to the provided inventory list. During Jagan’s tenure as chief minister, the GAD had allocated furniture, computers, and other materials to the secretaries and officials in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). With Jagan having left office 15 days ago, the GAD is now seeking the return of these items.
The letter was addressed to the officer in charge of the CMO, emphasizing adherence to the secretariat business rules, which mandate the return of government property within 15 days of vacating the office. Officials have pointed out that despite the lapse of the stipulated period, the furniture and other materials have yet to be returned to the government.
