TDP MLA G. Butchaiah Chowdary was sworn in as the pro-tem speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday. The oath was administered by AP Governor S. Abdul Nazeer in a brief ceremony at the Raj Bhavan.
A press release from the Raj Bhavan stated, “Nazeer administered the oath to MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary as Pro-tem speaker at a programme held in Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan here on Thursday.
” Prior to this, Chowdary also took oath as a member of the Legislative Assembly. The event was attended by several ministers and officials, and Chowdary represents the Rajahmundry Rural constituency.
