Former Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh, a leader of the YCP, has been arrested by the police. A case has been registered against him for the attack on the TDP office in Mangalagiri, Guntur district. His petition for anticipatory bail was rejected by the High Court. The police attempted to arrest him at his house in Uddandarayunipalem, but he was found unconscious and his phone was switched off.
The police left his residence after staying for a long time. Based on cell phone signals, the police have been trying to locate him since Wednesday. It is reported that special forces arrested Suresh in Hyderabad as he was attempting to flee, and they are transporting him to Mangalagiri. However, an official response from the police about the arrest of Nandigam Suresh is still pending. All YCP leaders accused in this case are currently unaccounted for.
