Former Director of the Andhra Pradesh Mines Department, VG Venkata Reddy, has been arrested and will be produced in the ACB court today. The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau (APACB) officials arrested him in Hyderabad. Venkata Reddy is facing charges of committing irregularities during the previous YSR Congress government.
The ACB registered a case on the 11th of this month, and he is currently detained in Hyderabad. Venkata Reddy was suspended by the alliance government in AP on corruption charges. Additionally, the ACB has registered cases against Venkata Reddy and three companies involved in mining activities. Further, a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against all 7 people. Cases have also been registered against organizations associated with Venkata Reddy.
