Flood damage : In Andhra Pradesh, heavy damage has been caused due to the havoc brought by rains and floods. The impact of the flood is gradually receding, and the extent of the damage is becoming clearer. According to preliminary estimates, Andhra Pradesh has reported a loss of Rs. 6,882 crores to the central government. Enumeration is ongoing to provide a comprehensive report on the damage to roads, properties, agriculture, and horticulture crops.

The government has officially announced that 46 people have died due to the floods and rains. Estimates for agricultural and property damage are increasing, and officials project that the overall damage could be substantial when considering individual household losses. Agricultural crops suffered damage across 4.90 lakh acres, while horticultural crops were damaged in 49 thousand acres. Additionally, 200 acres of sericulture were affected.

A total of 5,921 kilometers of roads have been damaged in Andhra Pradesh, with 4,203 kilometers of state highways, 1,160 kilometers of roads in panchayats, and 558 kilometers in towns reported as damaged. A total of 540 cattle died, and flooding affected 76 substations, damaging 11 KV and LT electric poles over several kilometers. There were heavy rains in various areas, including Budameru, and officials recorded flooding in 405 locations, including canals and ponds.
