“Five Azerbaijan Nationals Arrested for Gold Smuggling Worth Rs 2.4 Crore”

Five Azerbaijan nationals were recently arrested by customs officials for allegedly smuggling gold worth over Rs 2.4 crore into the country at the international airport. According to an official statement issued on Friday, the accused persons, including one female passenger, were stopped after their arrival from Dubai on April 30. During their personal search, gold items in the form of jewelry, wire, belt buckle, and handbag handle, weighing a total of 3.5 kg and valued at Rs 2.44 crore were discovered. The accused were taken into custody, and the gold items were seized.
