FIR Filed Against BJP MLA for Alleged Cash Distribution at Bihar Roadshow

On Friday, a case was filed against a BJP MLA in Bihar after a complaint that he had distributed cash during a roadshow.

The complaint was made by Vijay Kumar Shukla, the RJD candidate in the Vaishali Lok Sabha seat, against Sahebpur MLA Raju Kumar Singh.

The complaint alleged that the MLA was caught on camera giving cash to onlookers at a roadshow of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan, who was campaigning for Vaishali candidate and sitting MP Veena Devi.

Muzaffarpur District Magistrate Subrat Kumar Sen stated that an FIR has been lodged since the matter involved an alleged violation of the Model Code of Conduct, and further investigations are ongoing.

In response, the MLA claimed that he had given money to a party worker to buy packaged water, and accused his rivals of engaging in “petty politics” over the incident.
