Amaravati: The election results will be quite interesting in the constituencies of Gudivada, Gannavaram, Nagari, and Macherla segments. The victory in the four constituencies is important for both the ruling YSR Congress and the Opposition TDP.

The four legislators of the YSR Congress Kodali Nani, RK Roja, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy, and Vallabhaneni Vamsi played a dominant and aggressive role in politics. Of course, Vallabhaneni Vamsi was elected on the TDP ticket but later shifted his loyalty to the YSR Congress.

Especially Gudiwada is the highest public interest-gained constituency in the State. TDP founder NT Rama Rao won the constituency when the TDP was established in 1983. Kodali Venkateswara Rao (Nani) also won two terms on the TDP ticket. Later, he joined the YSR Congress and was elected for two more terms on that party ticket.

This time his re-election is a difficult task with an anti-incumbency factor. Moreover, no leader in Krishna district has been elected continuously for five times in the history. This time NRI Venigandla Ramu, an IT business person, challenged him with his wife’s scheduled caste background connection along with strong financial resources.

As per ground reports, the TDP pins hope to bag this seat in this election. Kodali Nani’s language in politics set a new trend and raised many an eyebrow though he was a member of YS Jagan’s Cabinet.

Vallabhaneni Vamshi who is a close friend of Kodali Nani, contested from Gannavaram Assembly segment. He was elected two terms on the TDP ticket and joined the YSR Congress after his second election. His speeches against the TDP leaders in the model of Kodali Nani’s language are also a hot topic in politics. Now his re-election is difficult as per the ground reports.

Gannavaram constituency is a favorable constituency for the TDP traditionally.

Yarlagadda Venkata Rao who lost on the YSR Congress ticket in the 2019 election contested this time on the TDP ticket against Vamsi. Yarlagadda gained the sympathy of the public and cadre of the YSR Congress resulting in their support. In the present election, the TDP has a fair chance to win the seat and Vamsi’s controversial attitude and his role in future politics is a hot topic in social media.

Apart from this, RK Roja contested again from Nagari seat in Chittoor district. She entered into the election fray as a minister this time. But she faced the anti-incumbency factor in two ways—personally and angry with the government policies. Especially since she faced allegations in financial matters and family members’ interference in corruption issues finally turned out to be a difficult task for her re-election.

On the other hand (Election results ) , Macherla Assembly constituency in Palnadu area has been in the news for the last several years. Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy won four times from this Assembly segment consecutively. But his followers’ rowdyism and violence in the constituency is a point of discussion everywhere.

According to reports, the lands of many persons, and petrol bunks were forcibly grabbed by the followers of the MLA. Now his actions in polling booths are seen everywhere in the country. As per the reports, the fight is very tough and people who are victims of various issues supported TDP candidate Julakanti Brahma Reddy this time. The law and order issue will be a tough task in the constituency after the completion of the vote counting whoever wins the prestigious seat.
