Vijayawada: May 27: The Election Commission has initiated advanced preparations for the upcoming vote counting scheduled for June 4. Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar conducted a comprehensive review of the pre-arrangements during a video conference from New Delhi’s Nirvachan Sadan.
During the virtual meeting, Rajeev Kumar, along with election commissioners Gyanesh Kumar and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, emphasised the importance of adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Election Commission of India. They directed the officials to take all necessary steps to ensure the accurate and timely declaration of election results.
The video conference saw the participation of Returning Officers (ROs) and District Election Officers (DEOs) from 543 parliamentary constituencies, including those from Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, and Sikkim Assemblies, where elections have been conducted in five phases so far.
Representing the Andhra Pradesh State Election Commission office were State chief electoral officer Mukesh Kumar Meena, along with additional CEOs P Koteswara Rao and MN Harendira Prasad.
