DRDO Partners with Azad Engineering for Advanced Turbo Engines, First Batch Expected by Early 2026

Dvara Kshetriya Gramin Financials, a non-bank lender, has announced that it has borrowed USD 10 million from the Blueorchard Microfinance Fund. The funds will be used to support the company’s expansion plans and to strengthen its efforts in empowering underserved communities across the country.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced a wristband for enabling contactless payments in partnership with the Indian Premier League. The wristband will be distributed to selected individuals attending the cricket tournament’s 2024 playoffs and final matches. It can be used for access management during the events and for making payments after the event.

Swiggy Instamart has reported selling over 2,500 tonnes of mangoes nationwide this summer. This includes a Rs 46,588 order from a customer in Bengaluru and a 55 kg order from a customer in Chennai.

DRDO’s Gas Turbine Research Establishment has selected Azad Engineering as its exclusive industry partner for building advanced turbo engines. The Mumbai-based firm is set to deliver the first batch of fully integrated advanced turbo engines by early 2026.
