Denmark advanced to the last 16 of the European Championship after securing a 0-0 draw with Serbia on Tuesday. The Danes finished Group C with three points, the same as Slovenia, but secured second place due to a better qualifying ranking. Slovenia also advanced to the knockout stage after drawing 0-0 with group-winner England.
Despite needing a victory to progress to the next round, Serbia struggled to create chances, with Denmark dominating most of the opportunities. Christian Eriksen, making his record 133rd appearance for his country, was at the heart of most Danish attacks.
Interestingly, Denmark and Slovenia ended up tied on points, goal difference, goals scored, and disciplinary points.
