CV Anand takes charge as Hyderabad CP  

Senior IPS officer CV Anand, has assumed charge police commissioner of Hyderabad for the second time. He expressed his happiness during a media interaction, thanking CM Revanth Reddy for the opportunity. As the city is currently celebrating Vinayaka Chavithi and Milad un Nabi festivals, he assured that the police force is well-prepared and will review the festival arrangements with the authorities.

Emphasizing the importance of friendly policing, he stated that stringent measures will be taken against criminals and that the government is dedicated to combating drug-related issues. Additionally, he mentioned his intention to thoroughly investigate the phone tapping case.

Prior to this role, CV Anand served as Hyderabad’s Police Commissioner between December 24, 2021, and October 12, 2023, and previously held the position of Additional Director General of Police in Central Services. In 2017, he was honored with the President’s Police Medal and the Innovative Leadership Award. Many have extended their congratulations to CV Anand as he takes on this responsibility.
