A corporator and two others were injured when the boom of a crane collapsed while they were garlanding a statue of Maharana Pratap in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place in the MP Nagar locality of the city when Corporator Jitendra Singh Rajput and two others were garlanding the statue. They were standing in the basket of a crane provided by the municipal corporation when the boom broke, causing the basket to fall. Rajput suffered a fractured leg and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital. The two other individuals also sustained injuries. Rajput mentioned that the municipal corporation was not maintaining the cranes properly. A video of the incident went viral on social media.
