Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

Copper prices on Wednesday rose Rs 3.10 to Rs 820.25 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in October traded higher Rs 3.10 or 0.38 per cent at Rs 820.25 per kg in a business turnover of 7,867 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
