Congress leaders stopped the convoy of BRS working president KTR as he was on his way to reassure the residents of Musi. The incident took place at Mushirabad, where Congress ranks chanted “Go Back KTR.” Tension arose as BRS ranks blocked the Congress members.
Meanwhile, demolitions began in the Musi catchment areas, starting with Chadarghat Shankar Nagar basti. The vacated houses marked as RB-X were being demolished, and a large number of police were deployed to prevent any trouble.
KTR had left to inspect the demolition of Moosi at Chadar Ghat but was blocked by Congress workers. The police intervened to control the situation. On the other hand, BRS sources stated that KTR would visit the Amber Peta constituency, Golnaka Division Lanka (Tulsi Ram Nagar) area of the city to meet the victims of the beautification project. Along with KTR, Amber Pate MLA Kaleru Venkatesh and other leaders would participate.
Yesterday, KTR inquired about the search for Musi victims from different colonies in Hyderguda and Kishanbagh. The victims expressed their concerns about leaving their existing land, where they had built houses 30 to 40 years ago.
