CM Chandrababu presents silk robes to Goddes Kanaka Durga

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu presented silk clothes to the goddess Kanaka Durga as part of his offerings on the auspicious occasion of Moola Nakshatra on Wednesday. CM Naidu , along with his family, visited the Kanaka Durga Temple on Indrakiladri . The family, including Bhuvaneshwari, Lokesh, Brahmani, and Devansh, offered prayers to Goddess Kanaka Durga, who was adorned in the form of Sri Saraswati Devi as part of the ongoing Dussehra Sharannavaratri celebrations.

Moola Nakshatra, considered the birth star of Goddess Kanaka Durga, is believed to be especially auspicious. Devotees flock to the temple on this day, as they believe that a glimpse of the deity in her Saraswati avatar will bless them with knowledge and success. The Chief Minister and his family were given a traditional welcome with poornakumbham by the temple priests, and amid the chanting of Vedic hymns, they had darshan of the presiding deity.

CM Naidu presented silk clothes to the goddess as part of his offerings. After special prayers, he was given theertha prasadams, a photograph of the deity, and received vedaaseervachanam from the priests. During his visit, temple officials also briefed the Chief Minister on recent developments, including repairs and landslide recovery works around the temple. MP Keshineni Sivanath and MLA Sujana Chaudhary were also present during the visit.

The Dussehra Sharannavaratri celebrations are currently in full swing on Indrakiladri, with Kanaka Durga Devi giving darshan to thousands of devotees in her Saraswati Devi form. Temple authorities reported that 54,000 devotees had already visited by 10:30 am, with darshan being completed within three hours. To manage the rush, officials have been swiftly moving devotees through the queues, with 7,000 devotees visiting every hour. Authorities have even considered extending darshan hours by half an hour due to the heavy footfall. Devotees have been thronging to the temple since as early as 2 a.m., seeking blessings from the goddess during this highly auspicious time.
