CM Chandrababu made a key announcement: A package for flood victims.

It is known that recently a low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal and the Andhra Pradesh state was flooded with heavy rains. In particular, Budameru burst its banks at three places and flooded houses in Vijayawada city. Because of this, people spent their time in agony. Millions became homeless. However, CM Chandrababu himself visited the flood-affected areas and took measures to ensure that they get food and drinking water. He assured that every affected family will be supported. To this extent, Chandrababu Tweeted the details of the package to help the flood victims.

“We have announced a good package to help the people who have suffered due to heavy rains and floods. During the Vijayawada floods, NTR District Collectorate was turned into the secretariat for 10 days and helped the victims along with the ministers and high officials. Now we have completed the damage assessment and stood by the people by helping the people at a level never before given by any government. A week in Vijayawada city, We will provide financial assistance of Rs.25 thousand to every house that is caught in the flood for ten days and Rs.10 thousand to those on the upper floors.

We will provide Rs.10,000 to every family whose house has been submerged due to floods in other parts of the state. It has been decided to provide Rs. 25 thousand to those who have lost grocery shops and small businesses, and Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 1.50 lakh to MSMEs, depending on the level of the business enterprise. We will provide Rs.3 thousand for damaged two-wheelers and Rs.10 thousand for autos.

Also, we will provide Rs.25 thousand per hectare for damaged grain, cotton, sugarcane and groundnut crops, and Rs.35 thousand per hectare for horticultural crops like banana and turmeric. Even if the state is facing financial problems, we are supporting the people who are in trouble by giving them the best package. We are also providing good help through banks and insurance agencies. We are providing compensation to fishermen boats, handloom workers and farmers who have lost their cattle. CM Chandrababu tweeted that we are announcing this package after considering all the promises made during the floods.
