Chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has called upon his ministers to abandon the complacency of assuming power and instead treat their positions as opportunities for service. Addressing senior leaders at the TDP’s central office, NTR Bhavan, Naidu mandated that at least two ministers should visit the party office daily to be available for party workers and the public. Emphasizing accountability, the chief minister instructed zonal in-charges to ensure ministers’ presence at the office.
“All ministers should take the responsibility of receiving requests from the people and activists and solving them,” he asserted. He proposed the establishment of a dedicated system to handle petitions and appeals, with a special committee to oversee this process.
The meeting also saw Naidu urging party leaders to refrain from personal attacks and partisanship. “If we repeat the mistakes made by YSR Congress Party, there will be no difference between them and us,” he cautioned.
He assured that wrongdoers would be punished according to the law. He promised that all deserving candidates in the party would receive nominated posts. To ensure merit-based nominations, Naidu revealed that information about dedicated party workers is being collected through IVRS, constituency in-charges, district presidents, parliament coordinators, and constituency observers.
He has ordered the swift submission of these reports. The chief minister also addressed the issue of illegal cases filed against party workers over the past five years. He discussed strategies to legally resolve these cases and directed constituency in-charges to provide details of such cases within their jurisdictions.
He also requested information on investigating officers who had failed to act appropriately when YSRCP mobs allegedly attacked Telugu Desam leaders, homes, and offices in the past, vowing to resolve these issues in accordance with the law
