The movie “Chandu Champion,” starring Kartik Aaryan, collected Rs 24.11 crore during its first weekend, as announced by the makers on Monday. Directed by Kabir Khan, the sports drama opened with Rs 5.40 crore on Friday and earned Rs 7.70 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, it added Rs 11.01 crore to its collection. “Chandu Champion” is based on the life of India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. The film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films. The film had a strong opening with Rs 5.40 crore on Friday and saw a 45% growth on Saturday, collecting Rs 7.70 crore. With positive word of mouth, it experienced a 100% growth on Sunday, collecting Rs 11.01 crore. This makes “Chandu Champion” the film with the best growth post-pandemic, with a total collection of Rs 24.11 crore in 3 days. The movie also stars Vijay Raaz, Bhuvan Arora, and Rajpal Yadav.
