The NDA government, led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, has announced one century notable achievements within its first 100 days in office, showcasing a focus on welfare, infrastructure, and development initiatives. Addressing the public, the State government emphasized the government’s fulfillment of key election promises, including a significant increase in pensions and welfare schemes. One of the prominent decisions was the enhancement of old-age pensions, which have been raised from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 4000 as per the election manifesto.

The government also revealed that steps are being taken to fill 16,437 teacher posts through a Mega DSC initiative, aiming to improve education standards in the state. In a bid to address hunger and support the economically disadvantaged, the government has established 100 “Anna canteens,” providing meals to the poor. The government also noted the repeal of the controversial land titling act and a major boost for self-help group women, with loans being doubled from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh. Highlighting major development projects, the government shared that the Central Government has committed Rs. 15,000 crore for the construction of Amaravati, the state’s capital.

Additionally, the Centre has agreed in principle to provide Rs. 12,500 crore for the Polavaram Irrigation Project, a lifeline for the region’s water needs. The Central Government has given approval for the establishment of industrial parks in Orvakallu and Kopparthi, which are expected to attract investments of Rs. 25,000 crore. The Vizag Railway Zone has also received a major boost, with 52 acres being allocated for its expansion.

On the law and order front, the government pointed out that three IPS officers had been suspended in connection with a case involving harassment of a woman, reflecting the government’s commitment to justice and accountability. In a significant policy shift, the government stated that a new free sand policy, coupled with an online booking system, would be introduced from September 19 to streamline the process and curb corruption. In terms of industrial investment, the government highlighted a major win for the State, announcing that BPCL, a major corporation, would invest Rs. 70,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh, contributing significantly to the state’s industrial growth and employment generation.
