No one stopped Jagan from visiting the temple : Chandrababu
How govt stops to visit temple: Jagan
The Tirumala Laddu issue took a new turn leading to fresh exchange of words between both the leaders Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in a media conference said that the government had issued notices preventing him to visit Tirumala. He also asked why he needed permission to visit the temple and why the government was stopping him. As per the initial plans, Jagan was supposed to visit Tirumala on Saturday.
But he changed his plan by saying that the government was not allowing him. But contrary to it, Chief Minister Chandrababu sharply reacted to the comments of Jagan. Chandrababu Naidu asked the YS Jagan to show any order or government guidelines in connection with Jagan’s Tirumala tour. He criticized Jagan for making false claims against the government on not allowing him to visit Tirumala. Chandrababu condemned the statement of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and asked him to tell the truth as who stopped Tirumala visit. Interestingly the whole episode is brewing in the public and political circles.
Indeed the State government and TTD clarified that all the people can visit Tirumala but people of other religions should submit a declaration on the faith of god. It is a custom incorporated by the temple administration long ago. Now the state government stressed the point before proposed Jagan’s visit as he is a Christian During the previous visits as Chief Minister, Jagan violated the rule and never submitted the declaration. Now the State government raised this point as Jagan is out of power and as a Christian he should sign the declaration.
Home Minister V Anita said government did not stop him from visiting Tirumala. Jagan had no interest in giving declarations and that’s the reason for the cancellation, she explained. The laadu controversy took a new turn as Jagan tried his best to blame the government, while CM exposed Jagan’s arrogance of not complying with the rule of TTD as far as non Hindus visiting Tirumala were concerned. Before that TTD former chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said that there was no need to provide any declaration and Jagan would not submit any thing in this regard.
