Chandrababu, Pawan, Jagan, all MLAs take oath in AP Assembly

Amaravati : June 21: On the first day of the newly elected Andhra Pradesh Assembly, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, deputy chief minister K Pawan Kalyan, and other Ministers and MLAs took their oaths of office

. This marked the beginning of the first session of the new Assembly on Friday. Chandrababu Naidu was the first to take the oath, administered by Protem Speaker Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary.

Naidu, who has become the chief minister for the fourth time, was warmly greeted by members of his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its allies, the Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The TDP chief hugged Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan, who has been elected to the Assembly for the first time. Deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan was the second to take the oath, doing so in the name of God.

This was followed by other Ministers, including Nara Lokesh, also a new face in the Assembly. Following the Ministers, YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy took his oath as an MLA.

The YSRCP chief greeted Chandrababu Naidu and the treasury benches with folded hands before and after taking his oath.
