Chandrababu outlines strategy to secure funding for AP ahead of Parliamentary sessions

With the parliamentary sessions set to begin on July 22, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has outlined a comprehensive strategy for securing funding for key state projects, notably Amaravati and Polavaram, which are of paramount importance to Andhra Pradesh. The strategic approach was discussed during a meeting of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Parliamentary Party on Saturday.

Chaired by Chief Minister Naidu and attended by MPs and ministers, the meeting involved detailed discussions on the pursuit of financial support from various central ministries. Naidu provided guidance on leveraging Central schemes to benefit the State and emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure that projects like Amaravati and Polavaram receive necessary assistance.

Each MP has been assigned specific departmental responsibilities to coordinate with the Central government, and ministers have been designated to support these MPs in their roles. The meeting also addressed the pursuit of funds under Central schemes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission and the Krishi Sinchai Yojana, aimed at enhancing state infrastructure and agricultural development.

Further discussions included the resolution of pending issues related to land allotment for various projects within the South Coast Railway zone. Naidu also provided strategic advice on revitalizing the Visakha Steel Plant and ensuring the provision of facilities to institutions granted by the central government as part of partition guarantees
