Chandrababu criticises YSRCP’s Land Title Act , promises land return

Land Title Act:

Darsi : May 4: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu lambasted the YSRCP government’s Land Title Act, labeling it as a “land grabbing Act” aimed at seizing people’s lands. Naidu accused Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy of assuming authority over the lands of the people through this legislation.

During an election campaign in Darsi, Prakasam district, Naidu questioned the necessity of featuring CM Jagan’s photos on farmers’ land passbooks and urged people to remove them, citing concerns about the Act’s implications. He alleged that the Act facilitates the transfer of land records to a private organisation, effectively placing control of people’s lands in Jagan’s hands.

Drawing a vivid metaphor, Naidu likened Jagan’s authority over land records to a noose around people’s necks, expressing apprehension that misuse of this power could lead to dire consequences. He vowed that people’s lands will be returned to them once TDP comes to power after the ongoing elections.

Further criticising the YSRCP’s Navaratnalu manifesto, Naidu labeled the nine promises as “nine scams,” citing issues such as sand and land mafias, violent politics, asset grabbing, and illegal activities like red sandalwood and ganja smuggling. He refuted Jagan’s accusations regarding welfare provisions during TDP’s tenure, asserting that TDP allocated more funds for welfare than the current government.

Naidu also pledged to ban J brand liquor and ensure the availability of quality liquor at affordable rates, emphasising his commitment to welfare and addressing social issues if TDP returns to power.
