A meeting was held at the office of Lanka Dinakar, Chairman of the Twenty Principles Programme Implementation, in the AP Secretariat to discuss Steps to Overcome Obstacles in Organic Farming and Increase Farmer Profitability.” The meeting included participation from Devadattu, Chairman of the Organic Product Certification Authority, and Surendra Babu, Managing Director of Attaluri Palem Organic Farmers Producers. Following reviews conducted in various districts regarding centrally sponsored programs, the meeting focused on steps to clear misconceptions about organic farming. With coordination among different departments, organic farming can promote both public health and farmer profitability.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is encouraging farmers through incentives to help organic farming grow in the country. Additionally, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has taken initiatives to establish Andhra Pradesh as an organic farming hub. By incorporating indigenous cows into natural farming, healthy milk, yogurt, and ghee can be produced, along with natural fertilizers for agriculture. Utilizing solid and liquid elixirs and decoctions made from cow waste can maximize productivity in natural farming. In Brazil, breeding Ongole breed cows yields an average of 30 liters of milk per cow each day.

It is essential to encourage the breeding of the Ongole breed, as well as other good indigenous cows that are becoming scarce. There is a need for skill development in natural farming practices. Producing goods for public consumption that add value to products generated from natural farming will greatly benefit farmers. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu authorized the formation of a study team led by the Chairman of the Organic Product Certification Authority. This team, in collaboration with Agriculture Minister Atchanna Naidu, will investigate strategies to make organic farming successful in the district and prepare an action plan.
