Lanka Dinakar calls for reforms in PDS rice distribution
BJP leader and chairman of the 20 Principles Implementation Committee Lanka Dinakar has raised concerns over anomalies in the ration rice (PDS) distribution system, highlighting the misuse of resources intended for the underprivileged.
He commended deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan’s decision to halt the transport of rice, describing it as a significant step toward combating corruption. “It is unfortunate that ration rice, meant for the poor, is being misused to benefit a few corrupt individuals.
The annual expenditure of Rs 16,000 crore for ration rice distribution demands transparency and accountability. Reforms in the distribution system are essential to prevent such exploitation,” Dinakar stated. Dinakar urged immediate measures to ensure fairness in public welfare schemes.
