Union Minister Rammohan Naidu credited Andhra Pradesh’s former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the development of Hyderabad's Shamshabad Airport.

Union Minister Rammohan Naidu credited Andhra Pradesh’s former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the development of Hyderabad's Shamshabad Airport. Speaking at the inauguration of the Airport Predictive Operation Center at Novotel, Shamshabad, he stated that acquiring 5,000 acres of land at the time was no small feat. He emphasized that the concept of greenfield airports emerged due to Chandrababu Naidu's vision, which made Shamshabad Airport a reality.

He further remarked that Chandrababu Naidu firmly believes in the IT sector as a driving force for the country’s development.

During the event, Rammohan Naidu highlighted innovations in airport management, noting that 24 airports across the country have adopted DigiYatra technology for seamless passenger processing. He said data analytics is being used to enhance services, adding that an airport is not merely a transport hub but also a source of employment and a cultural center.

The minister stated that the world is now looking toward India for development and innovation. He mentioned that the construction of Warangal and Bhogapuram airports is underway, with Bhogapuram Airport expected to be completed by June 2026. He also announced plans to increase the number of airports in India by 50 over the next five years.
