Airbus Considers Andhra Pradesh for H125 Helicopter Manufacturing Plant!

Airbus, the globally renowned aerospace manufacturer based in France, is reportedly planning to establish a manufacturing unit for H125 helicopters in India. As part of this initiative, the company has been evaluating potential locations across various Indian states, including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Andhra Pradesh.

Recent reports suggest that Andhra Pradesh has emerged as a strong contender, with Anantapur being considered the ideal site for the proposed facility. Anantapur gained international recognition after becoming home to Kia Motors’ manufacturing unit, and its infrastructure and strategic location have made it a favorable choice for Airbus.

According to sources, discussions between Airbus representatives and the Andhra Pradesh government have already taken place. The government has reportedly directed local authorities to identify and allocate suitable land for the project. However, no official confirmation has been issued by the state government thus far.

The H125 is a single-engine helicopter designed to carry up to six passengers. Its versatility makes it suitable for diverse applications such as tourism, border surveillance, and disaster relief operations. With a top speed of 289 kilometers per hour, the H125 is among the best-selling helicopters globally.

Given its high demand worldwide, Airbus aims to manufacture the H125 in India to cater to both domestic and international markets.
