Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed optimism for rapid growth in the state’s construction sector in the upcoming year. Speaking at the NAREDCO Property Show held at Chebrolu Hanumayya Grounds in Guntur, he criticized the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government for neglecting the construction industry. "During the previous government’s tenure, the construction sector was in shambles," he alleged. He further emphasized that the public’s trust in their leadership had resulted in a 93% strike rate in the recent elections and added that the coalition government began rebuilding the state immediately after assuming power.

Chandrababu highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to Visakhapatnam, where development projects worth ₹2 lakh crore were launched. He pointed out that approximately 34 lakh people in Andhra Pradesh rely on the construction sector for their livelihoods and claimed that the introduction of the free sand policy has boosted the industry.

The Chief Minister noted that the number of land-related applications had surged to unprecedented levels, attributing this to irregularities under the previous government. He vowed to crack down on land grabbers, promising strict action. "We will deal firmly with land encroachers," he stated. Chandrababu also mentioned that since coming to power, the coalition government has signed investment deals worth ₹4 lakh crore and set a target of creating 20 lakh jobs over the next five years.
