The Capital News
Vijayawada, May 24: TDP senior leader Buddha Venkanna has made significant remarks, calling for the transfer of Andhra Pradesh state responsibilities to Nara Lokesh, amid growing confidence within party circles of an imminent victory in the recent elections. Venkanna has appealed to TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to elevate Achchennaidu, the current president of AP TDP, to a key ministerial position.
Venkanna asserted that if Nara Lokesh is appointed as the State party chief, the TDP would remain formidable for the next 30 years. He urged Chandrababu to make this strategic move to ensure the party’s continued success, suggesting that Naidu’s swearing-in as chief minister and Lokesh’s appointment as party president should occur on the same day.
Expressing optimism about the election results, Venkanna confidently predicted that the TDP-led alliance would secure victory in 130 seats. He highlighted the dedicated efforts of Chandrababu, Lokesh, Bhuvaneshwari, and Brahmani, who campaigned tirelessly in different regions. Venkanna reminded that despite winning only 23 seats in the previous election, the TDP’s relentless work and the support of its leaders have remained steadfast.
He praised the unwavering support of Chandrababu’s family over the past five years and the dedication of lakhs of party workers and supporters. Venkanna expressed hope that the finalization of Chandrababu’s swearing-in as Chief Minister is imminent.
Venkanna also shared Chandrababu’s intention to write an autobiography, affirming that there would be a special mention of him. Drawing a parallel to the epic Ramayana, Venkanna likened Chandrababu to Lord Rama and himself to Hanuman, expressing his profound loyalty by recounting how he symbolically washed Naidu’s feet with his blood.
Venkanna also lauded Nara Lokesh’s padayatra, which has garnered widespread admiration. He praised Achchennaidu for his effective leadership as AP TDP president and suggested that Achchennaidu is now well-positioned for a ministerial role in TDP government.
