Qantas, the national airline of Australia, has announced plans to add flights from Bengaluru to Sydney in response to strong demand during the peak holiday season.
The airline will increase flights from five a week to daily between mid-December 2024 and late March 2025, adding over 12,000 seats over the four-month period. Qantas currently operates three days a week from Delhi to Melbourne.
Qantas operates its flights from India using its Airbus A330 fleet, which features 27 Business Class suites in a 1-2-1 configuration.
Each suite has direct aisle access and can be converted into a lie-flat bed. All Qantas international fares include a checked baggage allowance, food and beverages, and in-flight entertainment as standard.
Qantas has recently announced that it will be accelerating its programme to introduce ‘fast and free’ Wi-Fi across its existing fleet of international aircraft, including A330 aircraft.
Sufficient bandwidth will be available for every passenger to have a quick and consistent connection. The service will be gradually rolled out on Qantas flights between India and Australia starting next year.
