Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA Chintakalaya Ayyannapatra has officially filed his nomination for the position of Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
The nomination was backed by MLAs from the NDA alliance. The nomination event saw the participation of deputy chief minister K Pawan Kalyan, along with Ministers Nara Lokesh, Payyavula Keshav, Achchennaidu, Satyakumar Yadav, and Nadendla Manohar.
The election to appoint the new Speaker is scheduled to take place on Saturday. Following the oath-taking ceremony of the Assembly members, the House was adjourned to Saturday. The upcoming election for the Speaker’s position is a significant event, with Ayyannapatrudu will be elected by the ruling coalition.
